Cookie Policy
We keep cookies to a minimum. This page explains what we use, what's optional, and how to stay in control.

Template notice (for the site operator). This policy describes how the site is built, but it is not legal advice. Review it with a qualified professional before launch and update it if you add any new analytics or third-party tools.
The short version
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run cross-site tracking. We use a small number of essential items to make the site work, and optional analytics that only run if you accept them.
What is a cookie (and localStorage)?
A cookie is a small text file a website can store in your browser to remember something between pages or visits. localStorage is a similar browser feature that lets a site save small pieces of data on your device. Both stay in your browser; neither lets us see anything else on your computer.
The consent banner
When you first visit, you'll see a consent banner. It lets you separate two things:
- Essential. The basics needed to run the site and remember your cookie choice. These are always on.
- Optional analytics. Privacy-respecting analytics that help us understand which guides are useful and improve them. These run only if you click "Accept all". If you reject non-essential, they don't run.
Browser storage for your preferences
Our planning tools use localStorage to remember helpful settings — for example your trip date in the countdown, or your choices in the packing-list generator — so you don't have to re-enter them. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Google Fonts
Our pages load fonts from Google's font service so the site looks right. When your browser fetches those fonts, the request reaches Google's servers and may share your IP address with Google, and Google may set cookies on its own domains. See Google's privacy information for the detail.
How to control cookies
You're always in charge. You can use the consent banner to reject non-essential analytics, and you can manage or delete cookies and clear site storage at any time through your browser settings — usually under "Privacy" or "Cookies and site data". Blocking essential storage may stop some features (like remembering your tool settings) from working.
Changes
If we change how we use cookies, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
