Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This page explains, in plain English, what limited information Travelocities collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Last updated: 2 June 2026
Template notice (for the site operator). This policy is a practical starting point that reflects how this site is built, but it is not legal advice. Before launch, review it with a qualified data-protection professional and fill in any business-specific details (registered name and address, hosting provider, and a Data Protection Officer or contact if required).
Who we are
Travelocities ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at travelocities.net. We publish holiday-planning guides and provide free, browser-based planning tools. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect — and what we don't
We deliberately keep data collection to a minimum. In normal use of the site we may handle:
- Contact-form details. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you choose to send, so that we can read and reply.
- Standard server logs. Like almost all websites, our hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- On-device storage for the tools. Our planning tools may save small preferences in your browser's
localStorage— for example your trip date or tool settings — so the tool remembers them next time. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Important: the budget calculator, packing-list generator and holiday countdown all run entirely in your browser. The figures and details you type into them are not transmitted to us and are not stored on any server. We do not run user accounts, we do not take payments, and we do not take bookings.
Why we use it (lawful bases under UK GDPR)
- Legitimate interests: to reply to your enquiries, to keep the site secure and working, and to understand broad usage so we can improve our guides.
- Consent: for any optional analytics or non-essential cookies, which only run if you accept them in the consent banner. You can change your mind at any time.
Third parties and processors
We share data only where it is needed to run the site:
- Website host. Our hosting provider stores the site and processes the server logs described above on our behalf.
- Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google's font service. When your browser requests those fonts, your IP address is shared with Google as part of that request. See Google's own privacy information for how they handle it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking networks.
Cookies and tracking
We keep cookies and tracking minimal. We show a consent banner so you can accept or reject any non-essential analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. For the full detail, see our Cookie Policy.
How long we keep data
We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our host for security and troubleshooting. On-device tool preferences stay until you clear your browser storage.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; object to or restrict certain processing; and request portability of data you provided. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator, if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.
Children
Travelocities is a general-audience travel-planning site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
