These figures are estimates based on the numbers you enter, to help you plan. They are not a quote or a guarantee of price. Always confirm actual costs with airlines, accommodation and providers before you book. This is general information, not financial advice.

How to use it

Start with the two basics — how many people are travelling and how many nights you'll be away — then fill in what you expect each part to cost. If you're not sure of a figure, put in a sensible estimate; you can refine it as you research. The buffer adds a percentage on top for the things that always crop up: an extra taxi, a nicer dinner, a souvenir, a delayed bag.

What people forget to budget for

  • Getting to and from the airport — parking, fuel, trains or a taxi at both ends.
  • Baggage and seat fees on low-cost airlines, which can rival the fare itself.
  • Travel money costs — poor exchange rates and ATM fees abroad.
  • Tips, tourist taxes and resort fees, often paid in cash on arrival.
  • Data roaming or an eSIM so you're not hit with a bill on your return.

When you've got your number, the holiday countdown helps you time the bookings, and the packing-list generator makes sure nothing's left behind.
